Executed in 1970, this work is from a series of two, each with different colours, this work is unique
Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam, which included this untitled work by Daan van Golden. The price achieved of EUR 11,340.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daan van Golden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Schilderij 1964 Recht van Voren Gezien (Painting 1964 Seen Directly from the Front) in November 2016 with an auction result of EUR 266,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Daan van Golden zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 11.340,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daan van Golden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Schilderij 1964 Recht van Voren Gezien (Painting 1964 Seen Directly from the Front) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 266.500,00.
