Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work On the Plateau Between San Andreas and the Volcanic Edge, the Road of the Virgin, El Hierro, August, 2001 by Craigie Horsfield for USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,985.53). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Craigie Horsfield have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Casa Comalat, Avinguda Diagonal, Barcelona, December 1995 in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,714.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit On the Plateau Between San Andreas and the Volcanic Edge, the Road of the Virgin, El Hierro, August, 2001 von Craigie Horsfield für USD 2.250,00 (€ 1.985,53) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Craigie Horsfield auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Casa Comalat, Avinguda Diagonal, Barcelona, December 1995 im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.714,56).
