Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peaches, grapes on the vine, plums, a melon and corn on the cob on a marble ledge with an urn by Cornelis van Spaendonck was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,510.00 (€ 33,018.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis van Spaendonck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Flower Still Life With Roses, Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Vase, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 114,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Peaches, grapes on the vine, plums, a melon and corn on the cob on a marble ledge with an urn von Cornelis van Spaendonck kam im Dezember 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.510,00 (€ 33.018,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis van Spaendonck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Flower Still Life With Roses, Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Vase beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 114.000,00 versteigert wurde.
