Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Still Life With Flowers by Cornelis van Spaendonck. It changed hands for a price of USD 43,750.00 (€ 30,124.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis van Spaendonck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Flower Still Life With Roses, Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Vase, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 114,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Flowers von Cornelis van Spaendonck zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 30.124,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis van Spaendonck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Flower Still Life With Roses, Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Vase beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 114.000,00 versteigert wurde.
