This work of art by Cornelis van Spaendonck could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings and Sculpture: Part II auction, the work A Bouquet Of Flowers With A Bird'S Nest changed hands for USD 68,750.00 (€ 60,894.60) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Other works by Cornelis van Spaendonck have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2006 by the work A Flower Still Life With Roses, Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Vase at EUR 114,000.00.
