This artwork by Cornelis van Spaendonck achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in October 2021. In the Made In Holland auction, the work Pink roses, a Rose Mallow, Lilac, Marigold and Forget-me-nots in a wicker basket on a marble ledge sold for EUR 52,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis van Spaendonck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Flower Still Life With Roses, Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Vase, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 114,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cornelis van Spaendonck erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made In Holland wurde die Arbeit Pink roses, a Rose Mallow, Lilac, Marigold and Forget-me-nots in a wicker basket on a marble ledge für EUR 52.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis van Spaendonck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Flower Still Life With Roses, Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Vase beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 114.000,00 versteigert wurde.
