This work of art by Cornelis van Spaendonck could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Gilded Age Revisited: Property from a Distinguished American Collection auction, the work A Still Life Of A Parrot Tulip, Roses And Other Flowers In A Basket, On A Marble Ledge changed hands for USD 75,000.00 (€ 65,910.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Other works by Cornelis van Spaendonck have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2006 by the work A Flower Still Life With Roses, Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Vase at EUR 114,000.00.
