This artwork by Cornelis van Spaendonck achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2019. In the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III auction, the work Still Life With A Goldfinch On An Urn, Circa 1805 sold for GBP 7,250.00 (€ 8,568.65) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis van Spaendonck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Flower Still Life With Roses, Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Vase in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 114,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cornelis van Spaendonck erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III wurde die Arbeit Still Life With A Goldfinch On An Urn, Circa 1805 für GBP 7.250,00 (€ 8.568,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis van Spaendonck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Flower Still Life With Roses, Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Vase im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 114.000,00.
