This artwork by Cornelis Koppenol achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2003. In the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Feeding the geese sold for EUR 2,629.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Cornelis Koppenol; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Happy family sold at auction in March 2000 with the realized price of NLG 9,946.70 (€ 4,231.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cornelis Koppenol erzielte im September 2003 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings wurde die Arbeit Feeding the geese für EUR 2.629,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Cornelis Koppenol; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Happy family im März 2000 mit dem Hammerpreis von NLG 9.946,70 (€ 4.231,56).
