The result of EUR 1,200.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Koppenol - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Happy family, which sold at auction in March 2000 for NLG 9,946.70 (€ 4,231.56).

Die Arbeit In The Hayfield von Cornelis Koppenol wurde im März 2007 in der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.200,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Koppenol mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Happy family beobachtet, die im März 2000 für NLG 9.946,70 (€ 4.231,56) versteigert wurde.
