The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 832.00 (€ 787.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Cornelis Koppenol have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Happy family in March 2000 with an auction result of NLG 9,946.70 (€ 4,231.56).

Die Arbeit Two Views Of The Beach von Cornelis Koppenol kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 832,00 (€ 787,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelis Koppenol auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Happy family im März 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 9.946,70 (€ 4.231,56).
