Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Minding the geese by Cornelis Koppenol. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,912.00 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Koppenol - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Happy family, which sold at auction in March 2000 for NLG 9,946.70 (€ 4,231.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Minding the geese von Cornelis Koppenol zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.912,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Koppenol mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Happy family beobachtet, die im März 2000 für NLG 9.946,70 (€ 4.231,56) versteigert wurde.
