Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Thirty Pieces Of Silver (Exhaled) by Cornelia Parker. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 12,702.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelia Parker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Alter Ego (Mutiny), which sold at auction in July 2015 for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 46,074.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Thirty Pieces Of Silver (Exhaled) von Cornelia Parker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 12.702,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelia Parker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Alter Ego (Mutiny) beobachtet, die im Juli 2015 für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 46.074,08) versteigert wurde.
