Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Cornelia Parker could be acquired at Phillips in London in January last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Cold Dark Matter: An Exploded View. A Work in Progress changed hands for GBP 693.00 (€ 830.65) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelia Parker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alter Ego (Mutiny) in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 46,074.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cornelia Parker konnte im Januar letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wechselte die Arbeit Cold Dark Matter: An Exploded View. A Work in Progress für GBP 693,00 (€ 830,65) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelia Parker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alter Ego (Mutiny) im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 46.074,08).
