Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Meteorite Lands on the Houses of Parliament by Cornelia Parker was sold in the Contemporary Edition auction at Christies in New York in September this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,890.00 (€ 1,890.00) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelia Parker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alter Ego (Mutiny) in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 46,074.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Meteorite Lands on the Houses of Parliament von Cornelia Parker wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Edition bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.890,00 (€ 1.890,00) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelia Parker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alter Ego (Mutiny) im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 46.074,08).
