Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work She Is a Tree of Life to Them by Consuelo Kanaga was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October 2020. It achieved a price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 30,050.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Consuelo Kanaga - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Profile of a Young Girl from the Tennessee Series, which sold at auction in April 2019 for USD 106,250.00 (€ 94,857.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit She Is a Tree of Life to Them von Consuelo Kanaga kam im Oktober 2020 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 30.050,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Consuelo Kanaga mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Profile of a Young Girl from the Tennessee Series beobachtet, die im April 2019 für USD 106.250,00 (€ 94.857,60) versteigert wurde.
