In October this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Nude by Consuelo Kanaga. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,810.00 (€ 3,605.22), 27% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Consuelo Kanaga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Profile of a Young Girl from the Tennessee Series in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 106,250.00 (€ 94,857.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nude von Consuelo Kanaga zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.810,00 (€ 3.605,22) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Consuelo Kanaga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Profile of a Young Girl from the Tennessee Series im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 106.250,00 (€ 94.857,60).
