Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Constantin Brancusi could be acquired at Christies in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Tete d'enfant and Buste d’enfant, 1906 changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,492.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Constantin Brancusi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La jeune fille sophistiquée (Portrait de Nancy Cunard) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 71,187,500.00 (€ 61,000,428.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Constantin Brancusi konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Christies für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Tete d'enfant and Buste d’enfant, 1906 für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.492,38) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Constantin Brancusi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La jeune fille sophistiquée (Portrait de Nancy Cunard) im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 71.187.500,00 (€ 61.000.428,45).
