The work Le Poisson, c. 1924 by Constantin Brancusi was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in November this year. It achieved a price of EUR 44,100.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Constantin Brancusi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La jeune fille sophistiquée (Portrait de Nancy Cunard) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 71,187,500.00 (€ 61,000,428.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Le Poisson, c. 1924 von Constantin Brancusi kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 44.100,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Constantin Brancusi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La jeune fille sophistiquée (Portrait de Nancy Cunard) im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 71.187.500,00 (€ 61.000.428,45).
