Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Léda, c. 1921 by Constantin Brancusi. The price achieved of USD 27,720.00 (€ 26,307.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Constantin Brancusi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La jeune fille sophistiquée (Portrait de Nancy Cunard) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 71,187,500.00 (€ 61,000,428.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Léda, c. 1921 von Constantin Brancusi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 26.307,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Constantin Brancusi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La jeune fille sophistiquée (Portrait de Nancy Cunard) im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 71.187.500,00 (€ 61.000.428,45).
