Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Colonne sans fin à Târgu-Jiu, 1937-1938 by Constantin Brancusi was auctioned at Christies in October 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,230.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Constantin Brancusi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La jeune fille sophistiquée (Portrait de Nancy Cunard) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 71,187,500.00 (€ 61,000,428.45).

Die Arbeit Colonne sans fin à Târgu-Jiu, 1937-1938 von Constantin Brancusi kam im Oktober 2021 bei Christies zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.230,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Constantin Brancusi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La jeune fille sophistiquée (Portrait de Nancy Cunard) im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 71.187.500,00 (€ 61.000.428,45).
