Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Manifold Study 9:8 by Conrad Shawcross was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in March last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,408.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Conrad Shawcross - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Nervous System, which sold at auction in October 2013 for GBP 61,875.00 (€ 73,135.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Manifold Study 9:8 von Conrad Shawcross wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.408,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Conrad Shawcross mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Nervous System beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für GBP 61.875,00 (€ 73.135,76) versteigert wurde.
