Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Light Perpetual by Conrad Shawcross was sold in the Handpicked: 100 Works Selected by the Saatchi Gallery auction at Christies in London in March 2017. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,648.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Conrad Shawcross have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Nervous System in October 2013 with an auction result of GBP 61,875.00 (€ 73,135.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Light Perpetual von Conrad Shawcross wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Handpicked: 100 Works Selected by the Saatchi Gallery bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.648,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Conrad Shawcross auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Nervous System im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 61.875,00 (€ 73.135,76).
