Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Perimeters Study by Conrad Shawcross was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in September 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,184.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Conrad Shawcross achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Nervous System in October 2013 with an auction result of GBP 61,875.00 (€ 73,135.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Perimeters Study von Conrad Shawcross wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.184,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Conrad Shawcross erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Nervous System im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 61.875,00 (€ 73.135,76).
