Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 4th Monument by Colin Self was auctioned at Bonhams in London in April 2021. The price achieved of GBP 637.50 (€ 733.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Colin Self have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study For A Diorama, Possibly Including Mickey Mouse in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,051.81).

Die Arbeit 4th Monument von Colin Self kam im April 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 637,50 (€ 733,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Colin Self auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study For A Diorama, Possibly Including Mickey Mouse im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.051,81).
