Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Group Of Works by Colin Self was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 2,268.00 (€ 2,500.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Colin Self - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study For A Diorama, Possibly Including Mickey Mouse, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,051.81).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.268,00 (€ 2.500,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Colin Self mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study For A Diorama, Possibly Including Mickey Mouse beobachtet, die im November 2005 für GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.051,81) versteigert wurde.
