Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Christies in London held the auction Modern | British & Irish Art, which included the work Flowers in a Blue Vase and Mayfly by Colin Self. The price achieved of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,554.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Colin Self have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2005 the work Study For A Diorama, Possibly Including Mickey Mouse was auctioned for GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,051.81).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.554,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Colin Self konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2005 die Arbeit Study For A Diorama, Possibly Including Mickey Mouse für GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.051,81) versteigert.
