Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hot Dog by Colin Self was sold in the Made In Britain auction at Sothebys in London in March 2015. The price achieved of GBP 938.00 (€ 1,296.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Colin Self have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study For A Diorama, Possibly Including Mickey Mouse in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,051.81).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 938,00 (€ 1.296,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Colin Self auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study For A Diorama, Possibly Including Mickey Mouse im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.051,81).
