Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work The Black House, London, 1973-1976 (7 Works) by Colin Jones. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,825.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Colin Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Newcastle, 1963 in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,397.42).
