Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Selected Images by Colin Jones was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,260.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Colin Jones - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Newcastle, 1963, which sold at auction in September 2010 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,397.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Selected Images von Colin Jones wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.260,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Colin Jones mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Newcastle, 1963 beobachtet, die im September 2010 für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.397,42) versteigert wurde.
