Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Colin Jones could be acquired at Sothebys in London in April 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Made In Britain auction, the work David Hockney, Notting Hill Gate, London 1967 changed hands for GBP 938.00 (€ 1,141.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Colin Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Newcastle, 1963 in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,397.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Colin Jones konnte im April 2014 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Made In Britain wechselte die Arbeit David Hockney, Notting Hill Gate, London 1967 für GBP 938,00 (€ 1.141,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Colin Jones auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Newcastle, 1963 im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.397,42).
