Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Phillips in London held the auction Music, which included the work Pete Townsend - The Who by Colin Jones. The price achieved of GBP 1,188.00 (€ 1,300.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Colin Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Newcastle, 1963 in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,397.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Music durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pete Townsend - The Who von Colin Jones zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.188,00 (€ 1.300,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Colin Jones auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Newcastle, 1963 im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.397,42).
