Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2012 Christies in London held the auction Australian Art, which included the work Encounter by Clifton Pugh. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,102.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clifton Pugh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian A Feral Cat, which sold at auction in April 2008 for AUD 42,000.00 (€ 25,410.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Encounter von Clifton Pugh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.102,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Clifton Pugh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian A Feral Cat beobachtet, die im April 2008 für AUD 42.000,00 (€ 25.410,97) versteigert wurde.
