This artwork by Clifton Pugh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2011. In the Modern and Contemporary Australian Art with Works by 20th Century African Artists auction, the work Water tank sold for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,943.86) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clifton Pugh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian A Feral Cat, which sold at auction in April 2008 for AUD 42,000.00 (€ 25,410.97).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Clifton Pugh erzielte im Oktober 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Australian Art with Works by 20th Century African Artists wurde die Arbeit Water tank für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.943,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Clifton Pugh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian A Feral Cat beobachtet, die im April 2008 für AUD 42.000,00 (€ 25.410,97) versteigert wurde.
