Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in Sidney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Mines Road by Clifton Pugh. It changed hands for a price of AUD 7,995.00 (€ 5,453.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clifton Pugh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian A Feral Cat in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 42,000.00 (€ 25,410.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Sidney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mines Road von Clifton Pugh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 7.995,00 (€ 5.453,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clifton Pugh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian A Feral Cat im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 42.000,00 (€ 25.410,97).
