Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Cleve Gray achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2015. In the First Open/ NYC auction, the work Aloha sold for USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,669.57) - well above the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Cleve Gray; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Remembering Chi Pai Shih No. 2 sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of USD 27,720.00 (€ 24,988.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cleve Gray erzielte im Juli 2015 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open/ NYC wurde die Arbeit Aloha für USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.669,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Cleve Gray; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Remembering Chi Pai Shih No. 2 im März letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 24.988,73).
