Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work The Bacchanal by Claudio Bravo for USD 352,800.00 (€ 328,767.12). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Day Auction at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Claudio Bravo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Paper, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 1,385,000.00 (€ 1,259,778.06).
