Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The harvesters by Claude Hayes was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2001. It changed hands for a price of GBP 470.00 (€ 767.91) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Claude Hayes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch fishing boats in March 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,680.00 (€ 6,120.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The harvesters von Claude Hayes kam im Dezember 2001 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 470,00 (€ 767,91) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claude Hayes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch fishing boats im März 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.680,00 (€ 6.120,01).
