It achieved a price of GBP 728.50 (€ 1,152.36), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Admittedly, works by Claude Hayes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch fishing boats in March 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,680.00 (€ 6,120.01).
