Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lost in thought by Claude Hayes was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 812.50 (€ 1,027.03). Admittedly, works by Claude Hayes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch fishing boats in March 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,680.00 (€ 6,120.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lost in thought von Claude Hayes kam im Juni 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 812,50 (€ 1.027,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claude Hayes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch fishing boats im März 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.680,00 (€ 6.120,01).
