Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Window of Shrouds by Clarence John Laughlin was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,553.50 (€ 1,441.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Clarence John Laughlin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'The Final Act (Belle Grove Plantation)' in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,262.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Window of Shrouds von Clarence John Laughlin kam im Februar 2003 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.553,50 (€ 1.441,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
