Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Injun Poster (1960), from the Peace Portfolio (A. & P. 101) by Claes Oldenburg. The price achieved of USD 780.00 (€ 614.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claes Oldenburg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Clothespin Ten Foot in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 3,637,000.00 (€ 3,443,476.61).
