Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chuck Connelly could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 875.00 (€ 672.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chuck Connelly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,241.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chuck Connelly konnte im Juni 2013 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 875,00 (€ 672,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chuck Connelly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.241,76).
