Sold at the upper estimate price
In March 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Prototype Fuji 6X9 With 47Mm Mc Super-Angulon. Photography By The Douglas M. Parker Studio, Los Angeles, California, September 9, 2007 - September 13, 2007 by Christopher Williams. The auction ended at the price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,734.52), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christopher Williams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Angola to Vietnam, which sold at auction in May 2000 for USD 76,375.00 (€ 81,877.14).
