This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christopher Williams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Angola to Vietnam, which sold at auction in May 2000 for USD 76,375.00 (€ 81,877.14).
