Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Andy Warhol in Drag (wallpaper) by Christopher Makos was sold in the Old Master, Decorative, Modern & Contemporary Prints including an Important Private Collection by Lill Tschudi auction at Christies in London in December 2012. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,233.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Makos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Andy Warhol (Altered Image) in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 24,194.67).
