A top price for Christopher Makos - as previously expected
The work Andy Warhol (Altered Image) by Christopher Makos was sold in the Bear Witness | #SothebysBearWitness auction at Sothebys in London in March 2015. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 24,194.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Andy Warhol (Altered Image) is the most expensive artwork by Christopher Makos that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Andy Warhol (Altered Image) von Christopher Makos wurde im März 2015 in der Auktion Bear Witness | #SothebysBearWitness bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 24.194,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Andy Warhol (Altered Image) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Christopher Makos, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
