Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction The Male Form, which included the work Franco And Winston/ Boy Kisses, 1994 by Christopher Makos. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,079.99), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Makos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Andy Warhol (Altered Image) in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 24,194.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Male Form durch, in der auch die Arbeit Franco And Winston/ Boy Kisses, 1994 von Christopher Makos zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.079,99) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Makos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Andy Warhol (Altered Image) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 24.194,67).
