Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Christopher Makos achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in October last year. In the Robert William Burke auction, the work Andy (still life) - 1977 sold for EUR 4,198.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Christopher Makos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Andy Warhol (Altered Image) in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 24,194.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Christopher Makos erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Robert William Burke wurde die Arbeit Andy (still life) - 1977 für EUR 4.198,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christopher Makos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Andy Warhol (Altered Image) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 24.194,67).
