Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Artcurial in Paris held the auction More, which included the work Andy Close-Up - 1981 by Christopher Makos. The price achieved of EUR 1,040.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Makos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Andy Warhol (Altered Image) in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 24,194.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion More durch, in der auch die Arbeit Andy Close-Up - 1981 von Christopher Makos zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.040,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Makos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Andy Warhol (Altered Image) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 24.194,67).
